The acquisition of Starquartz in the United States strengthens Bostikâs presence in the US ceramic installation systems market, enhancing its control over a new technology with a great future.

Starquartz has developed an entirely new urethane technology for manufacturing paste glue for tiles. In spite of the recession in the construction industry sector, this premium technology has earned a significant share of the US market in just four years. Its value added for all market players and end users as well as its performance levels in terms of sustainable development should allow it to become a market leader and be sold in other parts of the world.

This move is part of Bostikâs strategy to develop its business lines through high value added products based on new high technologies. It reflects the determination of the specialty chemicals division to enhance its mastery of materials science and technologies that are environmentally friendly.
