Major promotional programme coincides with sponsorship of Tour de France 2016 and will boost visibility in the French market


Bostik, a leading global adhesive specialist for construction, consumer and industrial markets, has unveiled its first eye-catching billboard which forms part of an outdoor advertising campaign taking place in France over the summer 2016 period. In addition to advertising its brand and smart adhesives positioning, the firm is promoting its forthcoming sponsorship of the Tour de France.

The first billboard is 250 square metres in size and will be displayed on a nine-story high building in the Porte de la Chapelle area of Paris during the month of May. The advertisement is visible from the ‘peripherique’ highway, one of the Europe’s busiest transit routes, which is travelled by an estimated 2 million vehicles daily.

A second outdoor advertisement will feature on France’s largest outdoor billboard, at 650 square metres in size, next July. Also located in proximity to the ‘peripherique’, the billboard will be located in the Porte de St Ouen area of Paris.

Commenting at the unveiling of the first display, Phil Derby, Bostik’s Chief Marketing Officer commented, “We are very pleased with the final design and I’m confident that it will play a significant role in boosting Bostik’s visibility in France.” He continued, “The globalisation of our brand is a core component of our growth strategy and we will continue to find new and innovative ways to promote Bostik and its capabilities.”

In addition to promoting its brand and a prominent ‘Voulez-vous collez* avec moi?’ message, both billboards promote Bostik’s participation as an official supplier to the iconic cycling event, the Tour de France. As part of an integrated campaign, Bostik will use its sponsorship as a platform to promote its brand globally through a variety of activities including customer events, competitions, in-store and product promotions.
