M105 ELASTOSOL
Elastosol
Product overview
Elastosol M105 is a room temperature applied, low viscosity paste, based on sulphur cured polybutadiene. Elastosol M105 contains solid glass beads that act as spacers during the hemming process to control glue line thickness and prevent adhesive from being squeezed out of the joint. The glass beads are totally inert in all other respects and have no effect, either on the rate of curing or on the modulus of the cured product. Elastosol M105 is free from chlorine and does not contain epoxy

Key Benefits |
|
Adhesive Technology | ELASTOSOL |
Colors | Black |
Adhesion | Typical result 10 Cohesive failure [Mpa] (stoving conditions 30 minutes at 180°C. Bond 12 x 25 x 0.17mm substrates mild & electrogalvanised steels) |
Temperature Resistance | The physical properties of Elastosol M105 vary according to temperature, but it retains good cohesive strength over a wide temperature range. |
Viscosity | Approx. 7.5 |
Chemical Resistance | Elastosol M105 is resistant to water, common salt, ethylene glycol, oil and petrol in its cured state. Continuous immersion in petrol will swell the cured polymer. |
Relative Density | Approx. 1.7 |
Important | Before embarking on any work involving Elastosol M105 the safety data sheet should be carefully studied by those carrying out the work. |
Recommended Use | Elastosol M105 has been developed as a high strength metal to metal adhesive for use in the automotive industry. |
Shelf Life | 17 months from date of manufacture, unopened in original container stored under the above conditions. |
