Processing Conductive Butyl 1162 can be processed by conventional drum melters. Optimal conditions depend on the equipment properties and substrates and should be determined for each installation and application individually. While processing, a temperature increase from melter to nozzle is recommended. Guideline: Melting plate 110 °C (230°F); pump 120 °C (248 °F); hose 130 °C (266 °F) and nozzle 140 °C (284 °F). To avoid charring long exposure to temperatures above 160 °C (320 °F) should be avoided. Surfaces must be dry and free of dust, oil and grease.
Thermal Conductivity approx. 1.00 W/m¬∑K at -20 °C (-4 °F)
