Method Of Use | Note: A small trial should be carried out to ensure that the surfaces will not be attacked before cleaning commences - Moisten rag or cotton wool with Cleaner 6 and wipe the contaminated surface, avoiding surface recontamination by frequently changing the rag/cotton wool. - Allow residual solvent to dry before carrying out subsequent operations. - If using for the preparation of halogenated primers, refer to the relevant Information Sheet for application instructions (TDS01279} |
Recommended Use | Cleaner 6 may be used for the following applications: - Thinning solvent-borne Nitrile and polyurethane adhesives to provide lower viscosities for meeting special application requirements. - Cleaning application equipment used with the above adhesive types- Cleaning PVC surfaces prior to adhesive application. - The UK Ministry of Defence quality assurance and release document relating to Cleaner 6 is AFS 342J. - In the preparation of halogenated primers, such as Bostik 300 Primer*, for footwear soling material. - *IMPORTANT: Do not use any other solvent in conjunction with this primer, the use of Bostik Cleaner 6 or equivalent is essential for obtaining the best results. |
