Key Benefits | - Easy, clean application - Resistant to a wide range of service temperatures - Instant adhesion |
Adhesive Technology | SOLVENT BASED |
Flash Point | >55 °C |
Method Of Use | SURFACE PREPARATION: Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free from dust and grease. APPLICATION & BONDING: - Evo-Stik 8930 is applied by means of a conventional air-operated pump, working directly from the drum in which it is supplied. - In normal application, a bead of sealant is applied to the door inner, and the water shedder is located to cover the winding and other mechanisms. - Light finger pressure is sufficient to ensure a good join. - A small proportion of volatile solvent evaporates from the sealant after application to build up the adhesive strength and form a watertight seal. ADHESION: - Good adhesion is obtained as soon as the water shedder is applied, but the force required to remove it increases with time as the small quantity of volatiles is slowly released. - It is therefore possible to adjust the positioning of the water shedder immediately after application and yet have good adhesive strength in service. |
Recommended Use | Evo-Stik 8930 has been formulated to meet motor industry specifications for bonding and sealing plastic sheet water shedders in the assembly of vehicle doors. |
