- Silyl Modified Polymers (SMP): Combining the advantages of silicone and polyurethane chemistries, the SMP product range is free of isocyanates and solvents, and are extremely flexible. Also, SMPs provide excellent durability of adhesion with limited surface pre-treatment. In addition, they offer impressive UV and temperature resistance, as well as excellent shelf-life (up to 18 months for cartridges). What are the process recommendations from Bostik to use these adhesives?
We recommend applying our adhesives at room temperature. Due to its stable viscosity, our adhesives can easily be applied manually. Bostik glass replacement adhesives are one-component, moisture-curing products. The product is normally applied in closed bead to avoid water leakage after curing.
