M83 ELASTOSOL
Elastosol
Product overview
Elastosol M83 is a room temperature applied, low viscosity paste. Elastosol M83 is free from chlorine, consequently it is suitable for welding through, providing that suitable extraction is available, as it does not produce corrosive products at the high temperatures encountered during spot welding. In addition, Elastosol M83 does not contain epoxy.

| Key Benefits |
|
| Adhesive Technology | AUTOMOTIVE ELASTOSOL |
| Color | Black |
| Adhesion | Approx. 10, cohesive failure [MPa] (Stoving conditions 30 minutes at 180°C. Bond 20 x 25 x 0.3 mm. Substrates mild & electrogalvanised steels) |
| Temperature Resistance | The physical properties of Elastosol M83 vary according to temperature, but it retains good cohesive strength over a wide temperature range. |
| Viscosity | 300 - 500 [Pa.s] at 10s ⁻¹, 23ºC (measured on a Carrimed controlled stress rheometer cone and plate set up) |
| Chemical Resistance | Elastosol M83 is resistant to water, common salt, ethylene glycol and oil & petrol in its cured state. Continuous immersion in petrol will swell the cured polymer. |
| Relative Density | Approx. 1.67 |
| Important | Before embarking on any work involving Elastosol M83 the safety data sheet should be carefully studied by those carrying out the work. |
| Recommended Use | Elastosol M83 was developed as a high strength metal to metal adhesive for use in the automotive industry. |
