ISOSET™ structural adhesives
Product overview
Bostik Performance Adhesives’ ISOSET™ adhesives are designed for engineered wood and construction market applications. Available in two-component polyurethane emulsion polymer and emulsion polymer isocyanate formulations and serving as an alternative to traditional PRF-type adhesives, they offer fast cure times, excellent bonding properties, extreme durability and easy clean up. They are used in the fabrication of wood components such as I-joists, structural finger joints, laminated veneer lumber, vertical studs and glulam beams. ISOSET adhesives are also used to bond sandwich panel components. They are suitable for bonding a variety of wood species, gypsum wallboard, hardboard, particleboard and plywood to core materials such as styrene and urethane foam, paper and aluminum honeycomb.
The company has also added single-component, ISOSET™ MAX series adhesives to the product family, which have passed qualification requirements to meet the PRG320 standard for performance-rated, cross-laminated timber applications. These products also meet local code requirements for open assembly times ranging from 7 to 80 minutes and offer excellent structural properties.”
