Your customers and business development relations are located in various sectors, with a focus on business-to-business sales with (among others) paint manufacturers and suppliers of hardware and building materials. You ensure that these customers are optimally served, with the ultimate goal of achieving commercial growth and customer satisfaction. You will have full responsibility for your accounts.

You interact a lot with different departments, both locally and internationally and keep control of all processes that affect your customer. Our customers are used to a high service level and a fast and professional answer to their often complex - technical - questions. In this position you will have a lot of organizational and project based work.

Naturally, you visit your clients regularly, both at headquarters and at local branches, and you are closely involved in tender processes. You also closely follow developments in our market and translate these into actions for your clients. Given the complexity and size of these customers, you will work closely with the Business Director International Key Accounts (especially in the initial phase) to determine the strategic approach together.

 

Some of the responsibilities of the International Key Account Manager:

  • Managing and expanding the relationship with our largest international key accounts, in the broadest sense of the word; 
  • Coordinating all (internal) processes involved in successfully serving you customer, in close cooperation with the Business Director IKA, Sales Support and colleagues from various departments; 
  • Ensuring an excellent customer experience and increasing customer satisfaction; 
  • Managing the portfolio;
  • Achieving sustainable commercial growth.
     

Your profile:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an independent commercial role with large, complex accounts, if you have experience with customer branded business this is a strong plus;
  • You are organizationally strong and enjoy being in contact with many different colleagues and departments to achieve the best result for the customer;
  • You are a strong communicator, you are customer-oriented, commercially savvy and a real relationship builder;
  • You are willing to travel abroad regularly for a few days; 
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and English and a good command of German;  
  • You have a bachelor degree, International Business or business related field.
