Bostik NZ is excited to announce from 2018 it will be the main sponsor of Gone Fishin’, one of NZ’s longest running TV programmes. The show, to be renamed Bostik Gone Fishin’, celebrates 25 years in New Zealand homes next year.
The new season kicks off on Sunday 11th February at 4.30pm on TV3.
Presenter Graeme Sinclair said it was a herculean effort for a show that had humble beginnings.
“Twenty five seasons, we’re going to crack 600 episodes and it is one of New Zealand’s longest running TV shows,” he said.
“All I am is a facilitator. A conduit for some amazing people and some incredible places to come together around a central fishing theme.
“I'm not a great fisherman, I'm just a passionate Kiwi who loves to get out and meet other Kiwis who are similarly passionate.”
But it has not always been easy going for the celebrated fishing show and its host.
During series five Graeme was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Within a year, Graeme was in a wheelchair. Graeme says "To retain the series and battle the illness is not a bad effort and it highlights the importance of having the right people around you. My wife Sandee is key to that, and now having my son James as part of the crew is very special.”
So make sure you tune into TV3 from February 2018 to catch all the action, and keep an eye on the Bostik New Zealand Facebook page for lots of exciting Bostik Gone Fishin’ giveaways, events and other news throughout the year!
