VITEL 1916NSB.F
Resin VITEL 1916NSB.F is a semi-crystalline, thermoplastic, high molecular weight, linear saturated polyester.
Product overview
After dilution in the appropriate solvent, Resin VITEL 1916NSB.F can be used on all dry laminating machines with smooth or rotogravure rollers. When applying resin VITEL 1916NSB.F to a substrate via extrusion, cool thoroughly before windup to reduce blocking. It is a very tough yet flexible polymer that exhibits a high tensile modulus. Also, the resin provides high cohesive strength in its applications and adheres well to a variety of substrates such as PET and PVC. Observe the following general extrusion conditions :
- Dry resin at 68°C for 4-5 hours before use
- Run feed throat cooling
- Zone 1 heated 166°C
- Die heated to 204°C
These conditions are only a guide as extrusion conditions depend heavily on the specific process and extruder screw design.
