Bostik Supports Peach of an Athlete Role Model Banquet
Bostik was proud to support the 38th Annual Peach of an Athlete (POA) Role Model Banquet at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia on April 26, 2022.
This event, which benefits Atlanta Area Council Boy Scouts of America programs, brings youths, professional athletes and community leaders together to recognize those who have exemplified upstanding character qualities in their athletic achievements and who hold the same values as Scouting. In particular, these values include being helpful, friendly and kind.
During the event, youths had a chance to connect with role models, and several individuals received awards, such as the Bobby Jones Award. As one of the most prestigious awards given, it is in honor of former professional baseball player Bobby Jones, who won the Grand Slam in 1930 and is remembered for his outstanding character. Each year, it is awarded to a person whose life and career exemplifies Bobby’s values. Similarly, the event’s Hank Aaron Role Model Award honors a student-athlete involved in Scouting; the Role Model Award recognizes a collegiate athlete, and the Professional Award goes to a successful professional athlete who shows values of good citizenship.
This year, Bostik was proud to attend the event and appreciated the opportunity to connect with local communities. “In today’s busy world, it’s especially wonderful to be part of an event like this that focuses on successful professionals helping young people build character and leadership skills,” said Avette Mancini, National Sales Manager of the Tape and Label Division, Global Industrial Adhesives. “We enjoyed the chance to connect with the communities where we conduct business and help foster tomorrow’s leaders.”
