1.1 Arkema, whose registered office is at 420 rue d'Estienne d´Orves 92700 Colombes, France, and the other companies of the Arkema group, collect and use certain Personal Data. It is Arkema's responsibility to ensure that this Personal Data is used in accordance with data protection legislation.
1.2 We use the following definitions in this Privacy Policy.
“Arkema” or “we” refers to Arkema and the other companies of the Arkema group.
"Personal Data" means data relating to a living person identifiable from such data or from data and other information which is in the possession, or is likely to come into the possession of Arkema (or its representatives or service providers). 2.1 This Privacy Policy covers the following categories of information that we collect about you when you:
(A) Request information through the "Contact" section of our websites ("Arkema websites");
(B) Create and access your personal account available on Arkema's websites (see article 5);
(C) Order samples of Arkema products.

3.1 Many of the services offered by Arkema require that we obtain Personal Data about you in order to perform the services for which we have been retained. With regard to each of the services described in paragraph 2.1 above, we will collect and process the following Personal Data concerning you:

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
4.1 We may store and process your Personal Data in the following ways and for the following purposes:
for the purposes of continuous analysis and improvement of the information provided on the Arkema Websites in order to ensure their ease of use and to prevent possible interruptions or cyber attacks;
process orders for samples of Arkema's products and deliver the samples;
assess the satisfaction of users of Arkema's websites;
personalize the content of Arkema's websites according to the interests of users;
conduct the analysis required to detect malicious data and understand how it may affect your computer system;

4.3 We will take the necessary measures to ensure that only Arkema employees who need to know Personal Data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy have access to it.
5. PERSONAL ACCOUNT
You have the option of creating a secure personal account on the Arkema Websites protected by a personal login and password.
In order to create this account, you will need to register through the "My Account" section of the Arkema Websites.
This personal account will allow you to access additional content on Arkema's product lines (documents, videos, etc.)
Please note that registration as a personal account holder is reserved exclusively for professionals.
6. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
6.1 We may share your Personal Data within the Arkema group of companies for the purposes described above.
6.2 We may also share your Personal Data outside the Arkema group for the following purposes:
with agents and third party providers to provide services to us (for example, IT and communications providers). These third parties will be subject to appropriate data protection obligations and will only use your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy;
to the extent required by law, for example if we are under an obligation to disclose your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation (including, in particular, in order to comply with the presentation and communication obligations of tax information to regulatory agencies), or in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights;

7. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA
7.1 Arkema is an international company. Our customers and our activities are present all over the world. Therefore, we collect and transfer Personal Data internationally. This means that we may transfer your Personal Data to cities outside your country.
7.2 When we transfer your Personal Data to another country outside the EEA, we will ensure that it is protected and transferred in accordance with legal requirements. For data transferred outside of Europe, the transfer can be made on one of the following bases, for example:

Appropriate controls (such as restricted access) are installed on our IT systems. Physical access to areas where Personal Data is collected, processed or stored is limited to authorized employees.
8.2 The hiring of Arkema employees is subject to the condition that they comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including any law relating to data protection. Access to sensitive Personal Data is limited to employees who need it to perform their duties. Any unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential customer information by an Arkema employee is prohibited and subject to disciplinary action.
8.3 When you contact an Arkema employee about your file, certain Personal Data may be requested from you. This type of security is intended to ensure that only you, or any third party with your authorization, have access to your file.
9. DURATION OF RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
9.1 The retention period of your Personal Data will vary and will be determined by the following criteria:
the purpose for which we use them - Arkema must keep the data for the time necessary for this purpose;
legal obligations - laws or regulations may set a minimum retention period for your Personal Data.
9.2 Personal data processed to respond to your requests for information made over the Internet on Arkema's sites will be kept for the period necessary to respond to this request.
9.3 The personal data processed to send you promotional information will be kept for a maximum period of three years from our last contact or our last business transaction.
10. YOUR RIGHTS
10.1 In all of the above cases where we collect, use or store your Personal Data, you have the following rights and, in most cases, you can exercise them free of charge. These rights include:
the right to obtain information concerning the processing of your Personal Data and to access the Personal Data that we hold about you;
the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your Personal Data at any time. Please note, however, that we are still entitled to process your Personal Data if we have another legitimate reason to do so. For example, we may need to retain Personal Data in order to comply with a legal obligation;
in certain circumstances, the right to receive Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and / or to request that we transmit this data to a third party if this is technically feasible. Please note that this right only applies to Personal Data that you have provided directly to Arkema;
the right to request that we rectify your Personal Data if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
the right to request that we erase your Personal Data in certain circumstances. Please note that you may ask us to erase your Personal Data but that we are legally entitled to keep it;
the right to object to our processing, or to ask us to limit our processing of your Personal Data in certain circumstances. Again, you may object to our processing, or ask us to limit our processing of your Personal Data, but we are legally entitled to refuse this request; and
the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe that we have infringed any of your rights;
the right to give instructions regarding the processing of your data after your death.
