BLOCK X910 Joint Bar
Hydrophilic Rubber Waterstop
Product overview
BLOCK X910 Joint Bars are specially formulated hydrophilic sealing bars made from butyl rubber, designed for the preventive sealing of construction joints. Engineered to conform to rough concrete surfaces, these joint bars create a continuous gasket seal when the second layer of concrete is poured, ensuring effective waterproofing in both horizontal and vertical construction joints. The unique formulation of BLOCK X910 allows for controlled expansion in both potable water and concrete, achieving a hydrostatic head pressure that withstands up to 6 bar. This hydrophilic waterstop provides long-term water-stopping capabilities through consistent expansion and resistance to multiple wet and dry cycles, without premature swelling in wet project conditions.

Smart Advantages
- Non-Toxic: Safe for use in various environments.
- High Swelling Capacity: Expands approximately 200% for effective sealing.
- Shape Retention: Maintains its geometry after three wet and dry cycles.
- Easy Application: Simplifies the installation process on-site.
- Chemical Resistance: Offers good resistance to a wide range of chemicals.
- Temperature Stability: Not affected by water temperature variations.
BLOCK X910 Joint Bars are developed specifically for preventive sealing in concrete and reinforced concrete construction, effectively sealing against both non-pressing and pressing groundwater. The product is versatile for both vertical and horizontal applications, but it is not recommended for use in expansion joints.
Substrate Preparation:
- Ensure the surface of the concrete where BLOCK X910 Joint Bars will be installed is clean, removing any dust or loose debris.
Application Instructions:
- Use appropriate adhesives for securing BLOCK X910 Joint Bars in concrete joints.
- Firmly press the joint bars onto the adhesive, ensuring full contact with the concrete surface. There must be no gaps between the joint bars and the concrete.
- No overlapping is needed at joint bar joints; a butt joint is recommended. Knead the ends of two butt-jointed BLOCK X910 Joint Bars together to form a watertight seal.
- Do not install sealing bars that are damaged, swollen, or have altered geometry.
