Bostik, a leading global adhesive specialist for industrial, construction and consumer markets, is proud to launch a new, innovative water-based adhesive, Aquagrip® 3720, for automotive interior assembly applications.

Ideal for bonding low surface energy, rigid substrates to closed-cell foam and foam-backed materials, this new product improves process efficiencies and product performance overall while reducing environmental impact and enhancing worker safety. Formulated with no isocyanates, Aquagrip 3720 is one-component and requires no mixing. Further, no primer is needed before being spray applied, which reduces production complexities. This product is also plasticizer-resistant, responsive to heat and compatible with one-sided application processes to easily meet manufacturing requirements.

“By working closely with our customers, we saw a need in the market to address their evolving needs for a sustainable adhesive solution,” said Kevin Campbell, Bostik’s Automotive National Sales Manager. “With a high solids content, Aquagrip 3720 offers excellent bond performance for even the most challenging substrates. Customers also no longer have to worry about ensuring dry atomization or pot supply air prior to application, because our product is not moisture sensitive. They are able to make the output demands they need while getting the performance they deserve.”
