Bostik is excited to take part in the 7th Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit.

Bostik, a leading global adhesive specialist for industrial, construction and consumer markets, is excited to take part in the 7th Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit. Wladimir Moraes, Global Market Manager for Flexible Packaging at Bostik, was selected as one of 40 industry experts delivering talks on the Summit’s ‘Sustainable Future’ theme. His presentation, “Adhesive Solutions for Flexible Packaging,” will take place at 4:00pm on Wednesday, September 5, as part of Session 8: Additives & Adhesives.

On September 4 and 5, nearly 1,200 delegates representing 400 global companies will converge on the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, India, for the annual Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit. Aimed at India’s largest converting segment of the polymer processing industry, it addresses the flexible packaging industry’s worldwide growth and India’s strong role in the market. The Summit brings together global raw material producers; converting machinery manufacturers; finishing converters; and food, pharmaceutical, personal care and agricultural end users.

During his talk, Moraes will guide the audience through trends in flexible packaging and demonstrate Bostik’s longstanding commitment to sustainability. He will introduce Bostik innovations that can help keep converters and raw material produces ahead of the curve, such as M-Resin® reclosable tray sealants, TurboSeal® and Nipweld® cold seal solutions, and smart lamination products.

Moraes will also touch on Bostik’s Vitel® 1922AF, a new anti-fog heat seal coating for refrigeratable applications. The copolyester-based anti-fog technology significantly reduces condensation for better branding and visibility of produce and high-moisture products. The high-clarity, heat sealable films can deliver production cost savings to converters and designers of food trays, blister packs and other clear packaging.

Moraes has worked more than 20 years in the polymer industry, in business management, marketing, market development and sales at top chemical companies, such as LyondellBasell and BioAmber. He has a BS in Materials Engineering from Brazil’s Federal University of São Carlos and a Master’s in Polymer Science & Technology from Italy’s International School of Advanced Studies in Polymer Science.
