Infotainment Display Adhesives

Our hot melt polyurethane gasketing adhesives for automotive infotainment displays can offer:

  • Low application temperature of <120°C (248°F): By offering a low application temperature, these infotainment display adhesives are suitable for heat-sensitive electronics and can reduce parts damage likelihood. 
  • High temperature resistance: Able to perform in temperatures up to 200°C (392°F), our gasketing adhesives can help increase longevity in applications exposed to high temperatures, such as dashboards.
  • Various open times and green strength levels: Because our portfolio is broad, it includes products with different open times and green strength levels, which can help accommodate your manufacturing needs and quickly find a solution.
  • Reduced waste potential: Compared to other polyurethanes, our solutions are one-component because they are based on hot melt technology. Because no mixing is required, you can avoid mixing errors and reduce waste potential.

 

Featured Infotainment Display Adhesive Products

Our infotainment display adhesives include:

  • Supergrip® H0005-03A: This product offers a good combination of long open time, medium flexibility and high green strength.
  • Supergrip® 9251K: This product is foamable, which allows for compression and density reduction up to 50%. It also offers high moisture, oils and dust resistance.

 

Electronic Encapsulation Resins

Our experts have formulated Thermelt® low pressure resins for encapsulating automotive interior controls and sensors including doors, handles, seatbelts and tire pressure monitoring systems. These solvent-free solutions can provide:

  • High electrical resistance: Our Thermelt automotive electronic resins are formulated to impart electrical resistance to control and sensors, which can minimize conductivity, insulate and protect parts. This helps the electronics maintain proper performance levels during the vehicle’s lifetime.
  • Good environmental resistance: These resins are designed to help protect the automotive electronic part from environmental elements, such as dust and moisture, to aid in part longevity.
  • UL 94 V0 rating: Our Thermelt products have passed certification testing that ensures they can self-extinguish if an encapsulated sensor starts heating up. By doing it, it helps protect the rest of the vehicle’s safety and performance levels.
  • Fast cycle times: As low pressure molding hot melts, Thermelt allows for faster cycle times compared to other methods, which helps keep production lines moving.
  • Bio-sourced formulations: Our Thermelt automotive electronic encapsulation resins are formulated with bio-sourced materials; this helps reduce reliance on petroleum-based chemicals.

Featured Electronic Encapsulation Products

  • Thermelt® 867: This Thermelt resin is designed for general purpose application needs; it offers good fluidity at its application temperature and is in accordance with UL 94 V0.
  • Thermelt® 195: In addition to fast setting times and good flexibility, Thermelt 195 offers higher temperature resistance compared to other Thermelt options.
  • Thermelt® 865: This electronic encapsulation resin is designed to provide cold temperature flexibility in addition to good wettability and a UL94 V0 flammability rating.

Camera, LiDAR, Electronic Control Unit and Module Adhesives

For cameras, LiDARs, electronic control units and modules, we offer Polytec PT gap fillers and electrically-conductive adhesives, Born2Bond™ instant adhesives and cure-in-place gasket solutions to help you meet key goals.

Our Polytec PT gap fillers and thermally-conductive adhesives can provide:

  • Thermal management: These automotive electronic solutions are formulated to dissipate heat, helping to decrease likelihood of parts overheating, which can extend longevity while improving safety.
  • Low abrasion: These automotive electronic products are low abrasive, which can reduce equipment wear and tear
  • Low viscosity: One of our Polytec PT solutions has low viscosity formulation, which can help with dispensing ease and reduce equipment maintenance, associated downtime and energy usage.
  • Removability: Our gap fillers are formulated to be removable to help with repairs and minimize waste.

Our Born2Bond™ instant adhesives are cyanoacrylates that work well for cameras, LiDARs, electronic control units and modules and can offer:

  • Environmental protection: Our Born2Bond™ instant adhesives are formulated to provide moisture, humidity and temperature resistance to aid in electronic part longevity.
  • Chemical resistance: These automotive electronic adhesives can withstand automotive fluids, industrial chemicals and cleaning agents to help improve parts performance.
  • Instant adhesion: As instant adhesives, Born2Bond™ automotive electronic adhesives set quickly to help keep production lines moving.

 

Featured Camera, LiDAR, Electronic Control Unit and Module Adhesive Products 

  • Polytec TC 451: This product can be used as a thermally conductive adhesive or a thermally conductive potting system. Its high glass transition temperature (105C) and high tensile strength (71 MPa) make it very resistant.
  • GF300 LV: This gap filler for automotive electronic parts offers low viscosity, which can aid in easy dispensing.
