DAMPFIX^® BANDAGE

Dampfix Bandage is a prefabricated bond breaker and joint isolation system, made from an open weave mesh strengthened with an elastomeric rubber reinforcing layer. Formulated to reinforce joints, corners and junctions in waterproofing systems ahead of tiling, vinyl or resilient floor coverings, its rubber layer resists bonding to the membrane, creating a genuine bond breaker that accommodates ongoing movement without transferring stress into the waterproofing system above.
Built for use with all Bostik waterproofing membranes, Dampfix Bandage is trusted by waterproofers for detailing vertical and horizontal joints where standard bedding cloth would otherwise reduce the membrane's elasticity classification.

Why choose Dampfix Bandage?
Dampfix Bandage is puncture-resistant with high tear strength, resistant to damage from following trades, and resistant to substances including hydrochloric acid (3%), sulphuric acid (35%) and salt water. Its embossed crease allows easy folding into junctions, and useful measurement marks speed up installation. Because the membrane doesn't bond to its rubber layer, it functions as a true bond breaker without downgrading the membrane's class rating, and allows immediate membrane application straight after fitting.

Where to use it
Use Dampfix Bandage to reinforce vertical and horizontal joints, corners and junctions across all Bostik waterproofing membranes, in areas that will be covered by ceramic tiles, vinyl or resilient floor coverings.
It is not suitable for exposed joints or "live" (constantly moving, uncovered) joints.
