TECHFLOW GROUT HES
Bostik Techflow Grout HES is a high early strength, non-shrink cementitious grout that's ready to use straight from the bag with just the addition of water. Like the rest of the Techflow range, it uses dual expansion technology to compensate for shrinkage in both the plastic and hardened state, and it's purpose-built for critical equipment base plates, bridge bearings, crane rails, anchoring, and underpinning. It develops strength fast enough to allow plant back into operation within just 2 hours.
That rapid strength gain makes it the right call for high-value equipment and infrastructure where downtime is expensive, from crane rail replacements to bridge bearing repairs. It mixes to a stiff, plastic, flowable, or fluid consistency depending on the job, so speed doesn't come at the cost of placement flexibility.
Why choose Techflow Grout HES?
Its expansion begins within 10 minutes and finishes within 20 minutes of mixing, tested to ASTM C940, so shrinkage is controlled from the earliest stage of cure. Depending on consistency, it reaches compressive strength of 20 MPa within 2 hours, 40 to 50 MPa within 4 hours, and up to 70 MPa by 28 days, which is what allows equipment to return to operation so quickly. It also carries no metallic iron content, meaning no rust staining, and its lower water to cement ratio reduces drying shrinkage while improving long-term durability. Techflow Grout HES is made in Australia by Bostik, low VOC, and tested to AS 1478.2, AS/NZS 2350.11, and the relevant ASTM standards for consistency, set time, and expansion.
Where to use it
Techflow Grout HES is used on clean, sound, mechanically prepared concrete substrates, for critical equipment base plates, bridge bearings, crane rails, anchoring, and underpinning at thicknesses from 10mm to 90mm. It must be mixed with a heavy-duty electric drill for 2 to 5 minutes, and formwork should stay in place for at least 24 hours, with a full 7 days of curing recommended.
TIP: For general grouting jobs where rapid strength isn't critical, Techflow Grout GP is your go-to option with a broader strength range. Keep HES on hand for the jobs where getting equipment back online fast is the priority.
