Bostik is pleased to announce the results of a recent collaboration with IMA BFB and IMA CIEMME, two leading players in packaging automation. Together, we successfully tested our bio-based hot melt adhesive, Kizen™ LIME, on IMA’s MMP400 wrap-around case packer and AC200 cartoner.
Kizen™ LIME is formulated with over 80% renewable content, combining:
- Bio-based materials, certified according to EN 16640:2017
- Bio-circular content, certified via ISCC PLUS attribution
These trials confirmed the adhesive’s strong performance in industrial conditions, with:
- Up to 65% adhesive savings
- Lower application temperatures (120–135°C)
- Clean and consistent bonding, even at high speeds
This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to developing more resource-efficient end-of-line packaging solutions, without compromising on performance or process reliability.
“This collaboration with IMA perfectly illustrates Bostik’s strategy focused on innovation and co‑development. By working with a recognized end‑of‑line specialist, particularly in demanding applications such as pharmaceuticals and food, we demonstrate that industrial performance and more sustainable solutions can go hand in hand. The strong results achieved with Kizen™ LIME reinforce our belief that the future of packaging lies in robust and responsible partnerships.”
