RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURING
Transforming our operations for a more sustainable future
It is critical for society and industry to find ways to balance the current and future needs of our planet. This conviction drives us to ensure that we are operating within planetary boundaries. To this end, we have set third-party-verified targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, resource use and waste at all levels of our operations by 2030.
In terms of climate change, these targets include significantly reducing Scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2 emissions, paving the way toward net zero by 2050. Leading by example, we are playing our part to build a more sustainable future, with a positive cascading effect for our customers.

Our actions toward net zero
Environmental science clearly shows that the global temperature increase needs to be limited to 1.5°C in accordance with the Paris climate agreement. To play our part in the energy transition, Bostik is investing heavily to reduce the carbon footprint of our sites. To date, 13 plants worldwide are already fully powered by renewable electricity. In the US, approximately 90% of the energy needed to run our operations will be derived from renewable sources in 2024; in France this will reach 70% by 2026. In 2023, 7,000 tons of CO2 was saved through upgrades and the installation of new equipment such as boilers and compressors across our Construction sites.
These achievements are major steps on our path to net zero, and further energy agreements are in progress for our sites around the world. These actions to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions result in a lower carbon footprint for our products, and for our customers.
