Biplan is a subsidiary of the family-owned Herige group (formerly VM Matériaux), which originated in the Vendée region of France and focuses on the building industry. Based in Cholet, France, Biplan develops high-performance, cost-effective construction solutions to make building projects simpler, faster and more environmentally-friendly. It specializes in the manufacture of Biplan insulated form blocks, a certified solution that is perfect for low energy consumption buildings (BBC).


Total Marketing France handles the retail distribution of petroleum products and related services to consumers and business customers. It also markets services such as heating installation and maintenance and multi-energy consulting. Its subsidiary Caldeo contributed its expertise and know-how to the Smart House project, by installing an individual solar water heater, a modulating condensing gas boiler, underfloor heating and a heated towel rail, as well as a wood pellet boiler and its reservoir, a heat pump (for the cold) and a cooling ceiling system.

ESPCI Paris is a prestigious engineering school, as well as an internationally renowned research center and an engine of innovation for industry. ESPCI Paris is currently the leading French engineering school in the Shanghai ranking and its culture of excellence is more alive than ever.
